Erin Renee Pete

Erin Renee Pete, born May 3, 1983, passed away on September 24, 2026. She will be remembered with deep love as a proud nurse, a proud mother, and a woman whose life was centered on caring for others. In both her personal and professional life, Erin was known for her generous spirit, her compassion, and her unwavering devotion to the people she loved. She was a God-fearing Christian who loved World Over Comers Church in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Erin took great pride in her work as a nurse, and she was someone who truly loved helping people. She would help her patients in any way possible, bringing kindness and dedication to those in her care. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her profession as the owner of Nourish Care Solutions LLC, a business that reflected her heart for care and support. Erin was caring by nature, very generous, and always ready to give of herself to make life better for someone else.

Above all, Erin was a loving mother who cherished her children. She loved her family deeply and was very family oriented, finding joy and purpose in the bonds she shared with those closest to her. She also loved to cook and enjoyed traveling, embracing both the comforts of home and the experiences that came with seeing new places. These simple but meaningful joys were part of the warmth she brought into the lives of others.

Erin is survived by her mother, Patricia Butler; her sisters Erika Butler, Jo Anne Parks, Candice Freeman, Tamica Parmer, Katrina Christian and her husband Anthony, and Tonya Vinson; and her aunts Jo Anne Walker and her husband Leonard, and Denise Culver; and her uncle, Helton Culver Jr. She is also survived by her beloved children, Briyanna Shepard, Kamirra Heru, Ameer Heru, and Braylon Heru, who were the center of her life and a lasting reflection of her love. She will be missed deeply by her best friend, Ricciesha, sister-in-law Arnita Hampton; mother-in-law Momma Pete and many other family and friends.  

She also leaves to cherish her memory her cousins Lamar, Devin, Jason, Autumn, Amira, Isaiah, Aaliyah, Jaylon, Ian, Eric, Eli, Daunriae, and Quinara, along with many loved ones who were blessed by her kindness, strength, and presence.

Erin was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Butler; her twin sister, Robin Butler; her grandmother, Annie Butler; her uncle, Quitney Dix; her grandmother, Mildred Culver; her grandfather Helton Culver; and her aunt, Mary Foster.

Erin Renee Pete will be remembered for the care she gave so freely, the love she poured into her family, and the generosity that defined her life. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
