Eric J. Schnetz

Eric J. Schnetz, 39, of Akron, passed away on Sunday August 27, 2017. He was born on January 3, 1978 to Roger Schnetz and Christine Sears. Eric loved car models, hot rod car shows, football, Nascar, and mountain biking. He was a talented handy man who spent many years working as a plumber. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by his parents, Roger Schnetz and Christine Sears; brothers, Shon (Betty) Sears, Andy Schnetz, and Brian Schnetz; children, Shelby, Chloe, and Michael Schnetz; special aunt and uncle Jackie and Joseph Vasil; grandmothers, Clara Schnetz and Jean Sears; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305 on Friday September 1, 2017 from 11:30am-1:30pm, with a service to immediately follow. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
