Emma Elizabeth Dickerhoof

Emma Elizabeth (Frazier) Stanley Dickerhoof 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, passing peacefully at home on June 1, 2015. She was a loving and wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved animals, and playing games with her family and friends.She was a devoted member of the Faith Bible Fellowship Church, and a member of the Women's Auxiliary at Haven of Rest Ministries. Emma was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII, and was a cook at Kent State University for many years.

Emma was preceded in death by husbands Tave Stanley Sr., Glenn R. Dickerhoof Sr.; son, Glenn R. Dickerhoof Jr.; grandson, William Tave Shackelford; father, Walter Ray Frazier; mother, Cleo G. (Huff) Frazier; five brothers, three sisters; daughters in-law, Tracy Stanley and Annie Mae Dickerhoof; and son in-law, Kenneth Knapp.

She is survived by sons, Ralph Stanley, Tave (Jane) Stanley Jr., David Stanley; daughters, Diane (Bob) Shackelford, Janet Knapp, Glenda Dickerhoof, Grace Dickerhoof; step-children, Linda Dickerhoof, Nancy (Lester Hicks), Frank J. Dickerhoof; and close family friends, Josephine Macchiarella, Paula Macchiarella and Sue Semonin; 22 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Thursday June 4, 2015 from 6-8pm and funeral service will be held on Friday June 5, 2015 at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Les Sutherland officiating. Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery, Hartville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tallmadge Faith Bible Fellowship Building Fund or Haven of Rest Ministries. Special thanks to her Summa nurses and the wonderful staff of Suffield Township Fire Department.
