Emil Isakov
Emil "Gus" Isakov, 91, went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2011. He was a long time member of the Gospel Crusaders Church, and was a violinist with the OCWMA Akron Chapter. Gus was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gertrude Isakov. He is survived by his sister, Lydia Wells; sister-in-law, Joyce Hysell; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 15, from 4 to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will be held Friday, December 16, at 1 pm with Pastor John Beers officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gospel Crusaders Church.
