Elsie Marie Berkley Bachand
Elsie Marie Berkley Bachand, 80, of Akron, passed away on January 2, 2015. She was born in Akron on April 11, 1935 to the late Alfred and Jewel Shackelford. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Opal, Yvonne, and Janet.
She is survived by her children, Joyce (Vince) Seli of Mogadore, Randy Berkley of Canton, and JoAnn (Phil) Arntz of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Berkley of Rootstown; grandchildren, Andrea (Matt) Orr of Peninsula, Vinnie Seli of South Carolina, Danielle (Jay) Mowery of Oregon, Jacob (Sarah) Berkley of Navarre, Joshua Berkley of Canton, Kolton (Amber) Denious of Springfield, and Kayla Denious of Springfield; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Brandon, Emmah, Landon Michael, and Jace Alan.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Officiant Dave Flatt. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
