Ellen Marie Pfaff

Ellen Marie Pfaff, 76, of Tallmadge, passed away on June 8, 2026.

She was born on November 18, 1949 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Gilbert and A. June(Burkhart) Beamer and graduated from West Branch High School in 1968. After graduating from the University of Akron with a degree in Communications, Ellen embarked on a decades long career in the banking industry. In later years, she transitioned to a teaching position at the University of Akron.

In her free time, Ellen pursued many interests. She was a gifted musician, having learned to play the flute in her youth. She and her husband Jim loved to attend concerts, drag races, and car shows together. Ellen had a talent for sewing and needlepoint. She was curious about the world around her and loved to keep up on current events.

Her greatest joy was supporting her grandchildren in their creative pursuits. She never missed a choir or band performance.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; sister, Sandy Beamer; and brother, Ed Beamer.

Ellen will be dearly missed by her daughter, Lisa Pfaff; grandchildren, Rowan and Ari; brothers, Mark Beamer and Herb Beamer; and other family and friends.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
