Elizabeth McCulley (Roxbury)
Elizabeth McCulley (Roxbury) passed away peacefully at her home on January 17, 2015. She was our family genealogist, and a strong supporter of the Ohio State football team. Betsy was well traveled as she followed her husband throughout his military career of 22 years. She enjoyed current events, writing several published editorials for the Akron Beacon Journal. She was preceded in death by parents, Rowland and Elizabeth Roxbury; and son, Kenneth David. Betsy leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 47 years, Kenneth; daughter, Julie Bowman; brothers, David (Dee) Roxbury, Carl (Ellen) Roxbury, and Bruce (Jackie) Roxbury; brothers in-law, Ralph (Verlin) McCulley, Darrell "Pete" McCulley, Rodney Moyer; sisters in-law; Dorothy Miller and Susan Roth, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Visiting Nurses Hospice or Boy Scouts of America.
