Elizabeth Marie Hicks, born on February 28, 1989, in the heart of Akron, Ohio, departed from this world far too soon on June 17, 2025. She was a beacon of light, illuminating the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. A loving daughter, an amazing mother, and a devoted wife, Elizabeth's spirit will forever echo in the hearts of her family.
Elizabeth was a proud 2007 graduate of Springfield High School. Known affectionately as the "Crock Pot Queen," she perfected her culinary skills with love and dedication, delighting family and friends with her famous cheesy potatoes. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter, a place where she poured her love into every dish. Beyond her culinary prowess, she was characterized by her incredible generosity; she would give the shirt off her back if someone was in need. Her patience was that of a saint, and her kindness knew no bounds.
Elizabeth cherished the moments spent with her family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Her relationships were rich with love, and she embraced every occasion to celebrate with those she adored. Though her beloved daughter, Aubrey Harper, left this earthly realm before her, their bond remained unbreakable, a testament to the unyielding love that transcends life itself.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Harper; her loving mother, Julie Hicks; her grandmother, Erma Showers; and her siblings, Amie (Scott Cole) Hicks and Karen Maio. Elizabeth also leaves behind her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alayna (James) Brown, Jillian (Ryan) Bartley, and Sarah (Sean) Boelig, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews whose young lives were brightened by her radiant spirit. She is also survived by cousins, including Tracey E Aguilar, who will remember her fondly.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father, Terry Hicks; her grandfather, Ralph Showers; and her grandmother, Locie Powell, brother-in-law Bryan Cuthbertson, whose legacies of love live on in their family's every heartbeat.
