Elaine Patricia Hatton

Elaine P. Hatton, beloved Mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026 at the age of 79 years after a long battle with COPD. She was surrounded by friends and loving family at Ohio Living Rockynol in Akron, Ohio.

She was born on January 8, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Gus and Delores Theodorus and grew up in Ambridge, PA. She is survived by her siblings Lynette (Ron) Jeric, Deborah Crossland, and Peter (Kim) Theodorus. She was married to Phillip Patton of Center Township, PA where they lived for 35 years, raised their grandchildren and had a good life together.

Elaine worked for Bayer Corporation for 25 years, loved her job, and was best known for her management of the annual Haunted Trail Event every Halloween. She had a few favorite things to do in life; she loved to cook and have parties and play cards with her cousins; those were her best days.

Elaine is survived by her 2 children, Terrilyn Long and Jayson Hatton, who will forever be grateful for her love and support. In addition to her children, Elaine is survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and 7 nieces and nephews.
