Edwin "Eddy" Schafer, 50, passed away from cancer on November 4, 2016. He was an avid gardener.
Eddy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Schafer, and grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Wilma Schafer; sister, Michele Kinsey (John Danko); niece, Kimberly Kinsey; uncle, Jim (Joetta) Schafer; and numerous cousins.
Family will welcome guests on Wednesday November 9, 2016 from 4-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
