Edward Larry Peterson
Edward Larry Peterson, 85, of Springfield Twp., passed away on April 6, 2014. Ed was born on July 7, 1928 in Erwin, TN to the late Philmore and Elizabeth Peterson. He was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and later retired from Lawson Milk Company. He was a longtime member of the Akron Baptist Temple.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ingeburg; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Earl Thompson; and sister, Betty Jo Peterson.
He will be deeply missed by his sons, George, Clifford (Carla), and Timothy; brother, Gordon (Barbara); grandchildren, David (Jen), Cristin (Matthew), Ryan (Rachel), Alicia (Dan), Harold, and Kathleen; and eight great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, April 10 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brent Malone officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Copley, OH 44333.
