Edward M. Hefner

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward M. Hefner (74) announce his sudden and tragic passing on July 22, 2025.

Edward Hefner of Akron, OH was born on June 4, 1951 to James and Betty (Pressdee) Hefner in Ravenna, Ohio. He was father to Richard (Bobbie) Hefner, and Monica (Stephen) Dever. He was preceded in death by Mary, his loving wife of 51 years.

Edward had many nicknames: Mr. Ed, Ed, and his favorite, Grumpy. He was a lover of dogs, an avid fisherman, and a skilled handyman.

He leaves behind several grandchildren, Collin (Amber) Hefner, Blake (Maddie) Hefner, Saige (Travis) Gilley, and Sgt Jacob Dever of the US Army; as well as two great-grandchildren, Cecelia and Beckham. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Per Edward's wishes, cremation has taken place and the family has planned a Celebration of his Life for Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 3pm until 5pm at Uniontown Fire Dept Hall (13055 Oakwood Ave NW, Uniontown, OH 44685).
