Edward F. James, 78, passed away on May 8, 2015. He was born in Akron, OH to the late Floyd and Sophia James. He proudly served in the U.S Army for 3 years active duty. Edward retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 35 years of service. He was very active in Little League Baseball and Pee Wee Football for close to 3 decades.
He was preceded in death by parents, one brother, David; granddaughter, Shannon; and daughter in-law, Theresa. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Cora (Gladys); sons, Jerry L. (Linda), Edward A. (Lee Ann), and Karl K.; grandchildren, Tonya, Mike, Laura, Carol Annie, Steve, Kevin, Allen and Bill; great-grandchildren, Graceyn, Parker, Lincoln and Kaden; very close friends, Alan Bertison, Angelo Fuscaldo and Ralph Freccia; and many neighbors and friends, too numerous to list.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 12noon at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Family will receive friends from 10-12pm. Reverend Nancy Taylor officiating.
