Ed Hawks

Howard Edward (Ed) Hawks, 59, of Randolph passed away after a short illness on Sunday, February 22, 2015. Ed was the son of Howard A. and Peggy Hawks. He was born March 31, 1955 and graduated from Ellet High School class of 1973. Ed was an avid hunter and a member of the Goodyear Bow Hunters Club and loved stock car racing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Rosemary; father, Howard Hawks; daughter, Kelly (Johnnie) Slayton; sons, Andrew Hawks, Joseph Wilson and Zachary Wilson; brother, Mark (Valerie) Hawks; granddaughters, Rebekah Slayton and Shelby Slayton; nephews, Zachary (Brittany) Hawks and Alex Hawks; niece, Ruthanne Hawks; mother-in-law, Cheryl Jeffrey; grandmother-in-law, Gladys Bauman; brother-in-law, Lelin C. (Erica) Jeffrey III and nephews, Jacob and Evan. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5 to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd Akron. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 1:30pm. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the funeral home C/O the family.
