Earlene Cave

Earlene Cave, 84, went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2016. She was a life-long resident of Akron and worked as a foster grandparent with the Head Start Program. Earlene enjoyed golfing, bowling, crocheting, hiking in the Metro Parks, and spending time with her family.

Earlene was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill; parents, Eupha and Earl Sayre; and brother, Earl Jr. She is survived by children, Ken, William (Debra), John (Sue), Balinda (Jeff), Scott, and Kristy (Shannon); grandchildren, Willie, Sean, Connie, Scottie, Grant, Dominique, Brett, Mandy, Chris, Stormy, Jacob, and Zackery; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth and Gene; and sister, Gloria.

Family will receive guests on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 9:30am. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will follow.
