Douglas E. "Digger" Bowen, Sr., 56, passed away April 25, 2010. Preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Bowen. He is survived by his wife, Mary Munn-Bowen; son, Douglas E. (Jenn) Bowen, Jr.; grandsons, Parker and Kody Bowen; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will take place Wednesday, April 28, from 5 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 8 pm with Pastor Joyce Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
