We are saddened to share that Doug Clute began his heavenly journey on April 23, 2025. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all of those whose lives he touched. Doug was a chemical dependency counselor(LICDC) in the 1980s at Edwin Shaw Hospital working with adolescents. He then went to Oriana House where he spent a couple of decades changing lives.
He was a friend of Dr. Bob, which led him to 42 years of sobriety. He was a sponsor to many and a leader of hundreds of meetings. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter fiercely! We are grateful for the many sweet memories he leaves us with. He is survived by his loved ones: Simone Clute, Brenda Martinez (Exo), Dr. Jamie Clute, Adrian Alati (Leanna), Alyssa (Evan), Elena, Devin, Drew, Kai, McKinley, Laila, David Clute (Diane) and Dennis Clute.
Doug’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3 at Newcomer funeral home from 10A-1P with military honors starting at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to Doug’s favorite charity Saint Jude Children’s Hospital at https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/urla=https%3a%2f%2fstjude.org&c=E,1,EMv9ZCPZQNfFy5CHEgVC3y08AxD3J09DY1kM5vdzuLxczjRSVrhmcBqmoBBy6jiIzjPddWTC2vqiBoD5aST29GZj1ZMcM_o3vChPBBHs366WVdUIKDQ,&typo=1
