Dottie Mae VanPelt
Dottie Mae VanPelt, 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 2, 2016. She was born in Lynn, KY to the late Wade and Elizabeth Hale. Dottie was a proud UAW worker for Ford Stamping Plant, Walton Hills, OH for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, discussing politics, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Sue; brothers, Pete and Punkin Hale; and granddaughter, Alisha. Dottie is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James; daughters, Rose (Jack) Toomey and Melissa (Kenneth) Novello; grandchildren, Desirae, James, Jonathan, Nate and Pat; brother, Bob (Molly) Hale; sister, Norma Jean (Floyd) Latham; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends on Thursday September 8, 2016 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Funeral service will be held on Friday September 9, 2016 at 1pm. Friends may call the chapel between 12-1pm. Rev. Ron Bauman officiating. Interment Tallmadge Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dottie's caregivers for their compassionate care.
