A dedicated Girl Scout leader, Dorothy inspired countless young girls throughout her community, instilling values of leadership, friendship, and service. She was the President of the senior club at Patterson Park for 2 years and worked for many years at many jobs. Her house was known for its warmth and hospitality, particularly during the festive seasons when she hosted cherished Christmas and New Year’s parties. These gatherings were not just events; they were celebrations of family, unity, and the Italian traditions she held dear, offering a taste of her rich heritage through her delightful culinary creations.

Dorothy was a proud mother to her daughters, Susette and Irene Lionetti, and cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, Mystie and Derek. She was also the doting great-grandmother to Savannah, Justin, Raycen, Hudson, Samuel and Drew, who brought immense joy to her later years. In addition to her immediate family, Dorothy opened her heart to others, embracing Elsie and Ginny as adopted daughters and Tiffani, D.J., and J.D. as adopted grandchildren. Her family circle also included her sister-in-law Rena, and her nieces Amy and Wendy, along with nephew Joey and Keith, illustrating the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her.

Dorothy's legacy is colored with the laughter and love that she spread throughout her life. She joins in spirit her beloved parents, Nicholas and Susan Lionetti, her devoted husband John Lionetti, her daughter Susette, and her siblings Joe and Patricia Lionetti, whose memories will forever be cherished by those who remain.

Very loving and giving mother who was always there in times of need and was always right about certain situations. We will miss you terribly. Love you Mom, more than you will ever know and don't forget to enjoy AC/DC up there.
