Dorothy A. (Baker, Reed) Stepp, , of Akron, passed away October 1, 2014. Dorothy was born in Akron, Ohio on February 17, 1923 to the late Frank and Mary Baker. Dorothy retired from Goodyear Aero Space in March of 1991. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, hunting, bowling, and was a flagger at Mid Ohio Race Track that lead her to the love of NASCAR. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Reed and Charles Stepp; son, Kirk Stepp and three grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; five brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by daughters, Virginia Blomgren (Charles) Lawrence Lanice (Donald) Lance, Charlene Carmack-Stepp, Deahadra (Patrick) Riley; sons, Robert L (Sherrie) Reed, Randolph (Mary) Reed and Charles Stepp; 23 grandchildern, 59 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; brother, James Baker. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Summit Villa Care Center and Crossroads Hospice for all of their care given to Dorothy and her family. Family and friends may call on, Monday, October 6, 2014 from 6 to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11am. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
