Dorothy A. Burch Raff
Dorothy A. Burch Raff, 101, went home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2015. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 27, 1914 to the late John and Pearl Sanderfer. Dorothy was an avid outdoorswoman. She loved hunting and spent many years riding and training horses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Burch; second husband, William Raff Sr.; and children, Anna Burch, Caroline Boling, Bill Burch, Jim Burch, Don Burch, Ray Burch, and George Burch. Dorothy was the matriarch of a six generation family and leaves behind her children, Bennie Burch and Donna (Brian) Cleckner; sister, Agnes Cotner; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
