Doris J. Ralston

Doris J Ralston, 89, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2026. Doris was a woman of faith and was a member of First Apostolic Church of Tallmadge. She was a legal secretary for 15 years, and worked at Goodrich for 22 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting and loved to travel. She volunteered at Akron City Hospital for 9 years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee C. Hodges, who died in 1971; daughter Michele Hodges Aguilar, who died in 1991; second husband, William J. Ralston, who died in 2009; both parents, Urban and Mae Oaks; brothers, Leonard, Leslie, Lawrence and Leroy Oaks; and sisters, Gladys Howe, Cordelia Sehika Phillips, Stella Lenihan and Grace Parrett.

Doris is survived by step-daughter Sharon (Scott) Slaven of Kent; Kayli (Kian) Huffman of Kent; special family, Dr. Mike and Jenny Maggio of Hudson; Emily, Ian, Everett, and Arthur Haag of Cincinnati; Joseph and Ciara Maggio of Kansas; and Katie, Brayden and Bella Banks of Alabama.

Visitation will be held from 11:00AM to 12:00PM, Friday, June 12th at First Apostolic Church of Tallmadge (199 South Avenue, Tallmadge, OH) where services will be held at 12:00pm with Pastor Kenneth Bulgrin officiating.

Interment will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.
