Doris Newberry
August 5, 1930 — April 22, 2013
Doris "Jean" Newberry, 82, of Oldsmar, FL, previously of Mayfield, KY and Akron, OH, passed away peacefully joining her husband, Carl, in Heaven, on April 22, 2013.
She is survived by her son, Mitchell (Kristi) Newberry; daughter, Carol (Larry) Ellinger; step-daughter, Sandy (John) Griner; sister, Jan O'Neal; grandchildren, Shannon (Stan) Wolsky, Charity Shane, Carl Knafel, Erin Irwin, Tim (Katie) Ellinger, Dan (Gina) Ellinger, Brian Ellinger, Jeff Deavers, Jenny Deavers, Gina Malcolm, and Bobby Lowery, Jr.; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Jean retired from Weaver School where she was a bus driver. She loved family get-togethers, bowling, and playing Bingo.
Calling hours will be Sunday, 5-9 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
