Doris Burdeshaw

Doris June Burdeshaw, 81, joined her husband in heaven on December 30, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Akron. She was born on July 21, 1933 in Barberton to the late John T. and Elizabeth Gaugler. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a sweet person, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed coloring, doodling, and decorated every card she sent. Doris was preceded in death by husband of 56 years; Gene, daughter; Kathleen Tanner, brother; Tom Gaugler, and sister; Patty Reiheld. She leaves to cherish her memories, children; Denise, Michelle, Jon, and Scott Burdeshaw; son in-law; Tom Tanner; grandchildren; Joshua (Allison) Burdeshaw, Kori Jenkins, Christopher, Shawn and Katie Tanner, Baili, Paisli, McKayli, Kortni and Luke Burdeshaw; great-grandchildren; Karsten, Eva, Juliana, and Emmerich Burdeshaw, Sophia Jenkins, and Liam Tanner; sisters in-law; Donna Gaugler, Joan Burdeshaw, JoAnn Miner; step-sisters and brother, Patty Hinson, Carol Witwer and Tom (Jackie) Ink, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2014 from 5-7pm and funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2014 at 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305.
