Dora Sue Sharpless

Dora Sue Sharpless (Wolfe), age 90, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. 

Dora was born on June 19, 1936, the daughter of the late Gordon and Jewel Wolfe. 

Dora was the type of lady who never met a stranger, she was known for her door always being open to offer good times, food, and laughter. She had a special gift of talking; she would often even tell you things whether you wanted to know it or not! The stories she leaves behind will be past down and enjoyed through many generations. Dora lived a life of love for her family. 

She will be deeply missed by her children, Jovan (Michael), Tim, Missy, and Billie, grandchildren, Joshua (Karri Jo), Adam (Lindsey), Amber, Sam, Jeff, Abby (Eric), Justin, great-grandchildren, Allie (Rhett), Jordan, (Annabelle), Jerzee, Shyanne, Alexa, Alainah, Michael, Jeriko, Mason, Kinsley, Kaiden, Cecilia, and Rose Mary, great-great-grandchildren, Elena and Reign. 

In addition to her parents, Dora is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William (Bill) Sharpless, daughters, Laugene and Tammy, and a great grandson Drew.

A Celebration of life will be held 3:00pm Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Road, Akron. Calling hours will be from 12:00 noon - 3:00pm Sunday prior to the service beginning at 3:00pm.
