Donna Lee Ray-Pryor

Donna Lee Ray-Pryor, 84, of Akron, went home to the Lord on November 2, 2026, surrounded by loving family. She was born on January 30, 1942 to the late Rev. Bruce and Mary{Clark} Cleaver in Union County, PA. Donna attended Eastern Pilgrim College where she made lifelong friends. She worked as an LPN at Greencross General (now Western Reserve) Hospital.

Family was very important to Donna, and she often traveled between Ohio and Pennsylvania to visit them. She was always happy and had a smile that lit up the room. Donna enjoyed meeting people, was very social, and valued personal connections with others. An active member of Family of Faith Church in Akron, Donna was an integral part of the women's circle and also served as treasurer. Donna had a warm and giving spirit. She supported many charitable causes with a special passion for being patriotic. She always had a flag flying in the front of her house and her house was proudly painted red, white, and blue. Donna was your neighborhood Avon lady and was a member of the President's Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger C. Pryor, Sr.; step-sons Larry and Curt Ray; 2 great-grandchildren Lillian and Adelyn.

Donna is survived by her son, Bruce (Veronica) Ray; grandchildren Kenneth (Emily), R. Andrew (Jordyn), Tyler (Jessie) Ray; 5 great-grandchildren Annalise "Annie", Isaac, Abigail "Abbie", Rowan, Kylar; step-daughter Judy (Mark) Rowan; granddaughters Suzie and Diana; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Patty and Diane; brother Frank; and multiple nieces and nephews.

The family is especially grateful to Allison Ray and Nancy Dague for everything.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with a service immediately following at 12:00 pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home at 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. A second service with be held at Elmsport United Methodist Church at 16145 South St. Rte. 44, Allenwood, PA 17810. Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery in New Columbia, PA, where Donna will be laid to rest with Roger.
