Donna Jean Lyons

Donna Jean Lyons, 83, fell asleep in death on January 10th, 2026.

Born on October 28th, 1942 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Donna lived a life devoted to her family and her fur babies.

She was known for her love for her small family and her lifelong love of her animals. Donna found joy and comfort in the companionship of animals and believed they were part of the family. Her hands were rarely without her favorite rings and her nails were always carefully painted reflecting her love for beauty. Her sass sparkled just as much as the rings on her fingers.

Donna is survived by her two daughters, Robin Matos and Shari Handy, her two granddaughters, Shannon Despres and Rachel Matos, her cousin and caregiver Randall Tucker and her lifelong friends Joan and Glenis.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Arden Courts and Suncrest Hospice for their compassionate care, kindness, and support during her time there.

There will be no services at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local animal shelters.

We look forward to the time when "death will be no more" (Revelations 21:3-4) and seeing her beautiful face in the resurrection (John 5:28-29).
