Donald W. VanBuskirk
November 26, 1952 — February 15, 2026
Donald W. VanBuskirk, 73 of Akron, passed away on February 15, 2026, after a stroke with his family by his side. He was born in Akron on November 26, 1952 to the late George and Dorothy (McKitrick) VanBuskirk.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest son, Donny. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Becky; children Danny (Janet) and Laura (Chad) Van Buskirk; grandchildren Rachell and David and many dear family and friends.
Don enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching professional football and baseball. He loved attending his children’s sporting, drum corp. events, his grandchildren and his pets.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7th, 2026 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm with Pastor Stephen Neumeyer officiating.
