Donald R. Wassam
Donald R. Wassam, 71, of Lousiville, OH, passed away at his home on August 9, 2015. He was born in Tallmadge, OH to the late Leonard and Effie Wassam. Donald retired from Consolidated Freightways after over 20 years of service. A true outdoorsman, Donald could often be found hunting and fishing in his free time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger. Donald will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis; children, Jeanette Wassam of Lousiville, Donald L. (Sonja) Wassam of Lordstown, and Rhonda (Bill) Keyser of Randolph; daughter-in-law, Julie (John) Vechter of Diamond; brother, Jerry (Marty) Wassam of Akron; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
