Donald R. Redrick, 77, of Akron, passed away October 3, 2012. He was born in Akron, OH on February 23, 1935 to the late Homer and Rose Redrick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 40 years, Dorothy. Don is survived by his son, Nathan; daughter, Denise (Warren) Van Meter; step-daughter, Becky (Bob) Cumberlidge; grandchildren, Rachel Lough, Isaac, Abigal, Tony and Sierra Van Meter, Lisa Wilt, Robert Cumberlidge and Kelly Cumberlidge; great-grandchild, Rusty; brother, Joey (Judy) Durnye; sisters, Diane Redrick.
Family and friends may call on Friday, October 5, from 4-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Park on Saturday, October 6, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Shaub officiating.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Akron Children's Hospital.
