Donald Krager

Donald B Krager passed away on November 2, 2026 after a long illness. Born March 30th, 1960 in Akron, OH to the late Howard and Geraldine Krager. Don was a proud Navy veteran, who was always willing to help his family and friends when needed. A devoted father, grandfather and brother. Don had a special place in his heart for children and took his role as “Papa Don” very seriously.

He was a life member of the Mogadore VFW Auxiliary and retired from FedEx after nearly 20 years of service. Don was an avid sports fan and spent many years sharing his love of sports with his daughter, as her softball coach.

Don was outgoing, known for his silly disposition, and whether sharing a memory, recounting an experience, or simply striking up a conversation, he was always happy to have an audience.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother Jack Krager, In-laws Robert & Cheryl Hunt, brothers in-law Mel Garretson & Bobby Hunt, nephew Philip Abood, cousins Diane O’Neal, Jack Barclay and great-niece Samantha Sugden.

He will be forever missed by his wife Theresa, daughter Dawn Marie Leymon (Michael) , son Robert, grandchildren Mikayla, Brooklyn, Nolan, Cooper, Willow, Milo, and Genevieve, siblings Carol Garretson, Buzz Krager (Becky), Jeff Krager (Patty), Kelly Nellis (Gary), brother in-law David Hunt, sister in-law Michelle Ulrich (Chuck), Aunt, Mary Ann Barclay, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at the Mogadore VFW 385 Randolph Rd, Mogadore OH, on Sunday November 8th from 1 pm to 4 pm. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
