Donald E. Smith passed away on September 20, 2024 in hospice care. He was born in Akron, Ohio in 1944 and lived there most of his life.
A veteran of the US Army, Don spent his career in education.
He was a building principal at Simon Perkins Middle School from 1975 until the early 1990s. Don worked in several other districts until his retirement.
He is survived by a brother, his former wife and their two daughters.
