Donald E. Dohse

Donald E. Dohse, 78, of Ravenna Township, passed away March 29, 2005 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born August 14, 1926 in Shalersville, Ohio to the late Ernest & Sina (Mooney) Dohse. Donald proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired from the Chrysler Motor Company in 1991 after 32 years of service. Donald was a great father and he enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and ceramics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce (Hoffman) and son, Homer Smith. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Lois Jean (Mishler) Dohse; children, Tari (Gerald) Hodges, Richard (Karla) Dohse, Larry Dohse, Thomas (Sheila) Dohse, Pamela (Bruce) Haines, Lori Dohse, Kay (Rodney) Case and Mack (Debbie) Smith; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Johnson; brothers, Richard (Norma) Dohse and Harold (Dorothy) Dohse; great friends, George (Sharon) Smith. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery where Ravenna V.F.W. Post 1055 will provide military honors.
