Donald Beryl Kellar

Donald B. Kellar, "Don", age 89, of Tallmadge, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1927 in Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late Dearreald D. and Arminta Jane Webb Kellar.

Donald was an honorably discharged US Army veteran of WWII. He retired from Roofer's Local #88. He was a founder and active member of the Community Gospel Tabernacle Church. Don enjoyed his family, fishing, and the Cleveland Indians.

Survivors include his beloved wife, the former Margaret R. France, whom he married on January 10, 1948; his children, Donald R. Kellar, Sheilla (Bob) Nunnelley, Frances Tomaiko, and Tom (Julie) Kellar; his grandchildren, Casey (Mike) Easterling, Stephen (Michelle) Kellar, Brittany, Stephanie, and Colton Tomaiko, Thomas and Jacob Kellar, Bob Nunnelley, and Shelley Sutula; his great-grandchildren, Noel, Emry, Tyler, Melanie, Abbey, and Katie; his good friends, John Hicks and Ron Chaffman; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Angie Kellar; his siblings, Gertrude Roberts, Raymond Kellar, and Doris Hicks.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, and also from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the church.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Community Gospel Tabernacle, 181 East State Street, Barberton, Ohio 44203, where Pastor Donita Huffman will celebrate Donald's life.

Donald will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
