Donald A. Mardjanov
Donald A. Mardjanov, 74, passed away on October 31, 2015. He was born in Akron on April 24, 1941 to the late Samuel and Helen Mardjanov. Donald graduated from South High School where he participated in basketball and track & field. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and spent his career as the owner of Mardjanov Painting. He enjoyed cruising around in his '37 Chevy, going to car shows, and participating in the Street Rod Association. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple.
Donald will be deeply missed by his wife of 48 years, Janet Mardjanov; children, Lynn Cooney of Springfield Twp., David (Maria) Mardjanov of Charlotte, NC, and Sandy (Buddy) Dorsey of Green; brother, David Mardjanov of Kenmore; grandchildren, Kristan (Larry) King, Matthew Mardjanov, Emily Mardjanov, Lexi Dorsey, Alyssa Dorsey, and Addison Dorsey; great-grandchildren, Nick King, Kaitlyn King, and Ayden King; and many other relatives and friends. Donald's family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of the seventh floor at Akron General Medical Center for all their kindness and care.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John M. Henniger officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
