Dolores Snyder

Dolores "De" Vanicheck Snyder, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026. Born on December 16, 1953, Dolores lived a life marked by deep love for her family and a passion for reading that enriched her understanding and perspective throughout the years.

Dolores was known to those close to her as "De," a name that reflected the warmth and affection she freely gave to those around her. She was an avid reader, finding solace and wisdom in the pages of many books, a pastime that nurtured her thoughtful and compassionate nature. Most of all, she was devoted to her family, who were the center of her world and brought her immense joy.

She is lovingly survived by her sons, Ray Snyder and William Vanicheck; her generous and adoring grandchildren Czara Rock, Berea Bruno, Annalyse Dukes, Danielle Vanicheck, Lana Vanicheck, and Glenn Vanicheck; and her grandchildren-in-law Josh Rock and Luke Bruno. Dolores also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Luke Apollo, Rhea Quinn, and Theia Lee, each of whom brought her great happiness and pride.

Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Magdalen Vanicheck, as well as her brother, Timothy Vanicheck. Their memory is held dear by all who knew them, and Dolores’ enduring love for her family was undoubtedly shaped by the bonds she shared with them.

Throughout her life, Dolores exemplified strength, kindness, and dedication. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her as a loving matriarch and a passionate lover of books. Her legacy is one of love, curiosity, and the unwavering devotion she showed to those she held dear.
