Dolores Ann "Dolly" Richiutti

Dolores “Dolly” Richiutti, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 5, 2026, after a very short battle with a bone marrow disorder. Although her family here was not ready to say goodbye so quickly, they are grateful that her passing was peaceful.

Dolly was unmatched in the way she mothered and cared for those she loved. Completely selfless, she gave 100% of herself every day and never hesitated to put her family’s needs before her own. Her family was her entire world, and she lived especially for her children and grandchildren, loving each of them with a devotion that could always be felt.

Dolly worked as a clerk at CVS for 32 years before retiring and was a devoted member of Annunciation/Visitation of Mary Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Leona Bocko; her beloved husband, Phillip “Phil” Richiutti; her daughter, Denise Richiutti; her sister, Frances (Bob) Bomback; her brother-in-law Terry Murphy.

Dolly's memory will be cherished by her children Tony (Nancy) Richiutti and Lisa (Angie Cauley) Richiutti; grandchildren Ben (Emerson Fetty) Richiutti, Jessica (Michael) Bowman, Vinny, Phillip, and Addie Richiutti; great-granddaughter Maggie Bowman; and sisters, Phyllis Murphy and Betty (John) Wyler.

In the midst of their heartbreak, Dolly’s family finds peace in knowing that she is once again beside her beloved husband, Phil, whom she lost 26 years ago, and her daughter, Denise, who left them less than five months ago. They take comfort in imagining the three of them together again in Heaven—Dolly holding Denise close and mothering her once more, with Phil by their side. After so much time and so much loss, they are together again, surrounded by the same love that bound them throughout their lives.

Dolly’s family did not need another reminder so soon to pause and appreciate what truly matters in life. Yet here they are, once again reminded that time is precious and that we must make time for the people we love most. Dolly’s life was a beautiful example of that truth. She never stopped showing up for her family, loving them fully, and giving them everything she had.

In keeping with Dolly’s wishes, the family kindly asks that flowers not be sent, as she would not have wanted money spent on them. Instead, please honor her memory by taking the time to appreciate and be present with the people you love most.

Family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday, September 17th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., when the funeral service will begin. A graveside service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E Waterloo Rd. Akron, OH 44319, where Dolly will be laid to rest with Phil.
