Dolly Beatrice Cook, 85, passed away July 12, 2014. She was born in Dry Creek, West Virginia on June 14, 1929 to the late Roscoe and Lessie Meadows. Dolly formerly lived in Beckley, West Virginia and resided in Akron for the past 55 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward in 1990; brothers, Oncie Meadows and Claude Meadows; and sisters, Ruby Pettry and Arlene Clendenin.
Dolly will be deeply missed by her daughters, Alice (Mike) Wolverton and Vickie (Mike) Emerick; sisters, Dovie Schneider and Janet King; grandchildren, Scott Wolverton, Michelle Wolverton, Chris Emerick, Tim Emerick; great-grandchildren, Rachel Wolverton, Michael Wolverton, Bain Emerick, and Saskia Emerick; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to everyone at Summa Home Hospice and the volunteers from Guardian Eyes.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 10-11 followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Rev. Michael Shaub officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa.
