Dianna Lynn Kapusinski

Dianna L. Kapusinski, 74, of Akron, passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 2026. She was born in Akron on November 6, 1951 to the late Pearl and Norma Riffle.

After attending Garfield High School, Dianna met and married Gary Kapusinski and they settled in Akron to raise their family of three daughters. Dianna was a strict but loving mother with a quick sense of humor. Along with caring for her family, Dianna found time to work at several area Acme and Giant Eagle stores.

In her free time, Dianna enjoyed being outdoors. She was always up for a camping trip with her family. She also liked fishing and doting on her pets. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed painting ceramics and flower gardening.

Dianna truly loved being a grandmother. She was known as Mawmaw, Grandma, and Gammy to her grandchildren and was so proud of all their achievements.

In addition to her parents, Dianna was preceded in death by her daughter, Danielle Kapusinski; sister, Gloria Tepus; and brother, David Riffle.

Dianna will be dearly missed by her daughters, Tracie (Jarrod) Norris and Dawn Kapusinski; son-in-law, Jimmy Blythe; grandchildren, Sara Choueiry, Katey Choueiry, Christopher Choueiry, and Abby Choueiry, Tayna Mihal, and Preston Blythe; and great-grandchildren, Emma Henry, Alleigh Jackson, Raiden Jackson, and Maverick Choueiry.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
