Denver Russell Tennant
Denver Russell Tennant, 91, a resident of Sky Park in Wadsworth, passed away March 3, 2014 at the Sandusky Ohio Veterans Home. He was born May 23, 1922 in Jackson, Ohio. Denver was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Mohawk Tire & Rubber Co. and later from Aircraft Mechanic & Inspector Wadsworth's Sky Park Airport. Denver loved to fly and has traveled the world in his own small aircraft from the Arctic Circle to Venezuela.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene (Bolen) Tennant; mother, Laura (Love) Tennant; father, Roscoe Tennant; and brother, Robert Tennant (Doris). He is survived by his children, Daniel Tennant (Laura), Melvin Tennant, and Marilyn Harris (Robert); grandchildren, Daniel Tennant Jr., Matthew Tennant (Crystal), Michelle Tennant, Michael Harris, Heather Harris, Randall West (Renata), Gregory West (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Ayden Tennant, Joshua West, Christian West, Charity West, Hope West, and Liilibet Joy West; brothers, Calvin Tennant (Dean), Richard Tennant (Anita); sister, Lena Wolfe (Eldred).
Visitation will be Thursday March 6 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. followed by a 12:00 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
