Dennis Alan Wilt

Dennis Alan Wilt, age 73, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday December 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Dennis was born on October 26, 1952 to the late Grace and Elliott Wilt. He graduated from Manchester High School class of 1970. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Dennis was a hard and dedicated worker no matter what job he had. He retired from AT&T in 2017.

He was a man of deep faith. He loved God, his family and his Mustangs. Dennis enjoyed fixing and tinkering with things, whether it was his cars or things around the house. During the summer, you could find him at a local car cruise or at a car show, hanging out with his buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Elliott Wilt, brother David Wilt, and mother-in-law Evelyn Van Hook.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Cindy (Van Hook) Wilt, daughters Amy Wilt, Amanda (Todd) Hunt, grandson Spencer Hunt and his grand-puppy Baxter, whom he shared a very special bond with. He also leaves behind sisters Kathy (Mark) Arnold, Barb (Ken) Owensby, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many bonus grandkids and so many special friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held January 9th Friday 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home and on January 10th Saturday 10 AM- 11 AM at Five39 Church located at 688 Dan Street, Akron. A Celebration of Life Service will begin promptly at 11 AM Saturday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Five39 Church.
