Dennis Lane "Denny" Septer

Dennis Lane Septer, 73, of Akron, passed away on October 18, 2026. He was born in Akron on January 18, 1953 to the late Charles W. and Edith {Patterson} Septer.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his nephew Frankie Mushisky II, great-nieces Nicole Radcliffe and Melanie Dye, brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Bergey.

Denny is survived by his loving siblings Ron (Krista) Septer and Bev Bergey; nieces and nephew Michelle (Gregg) Samoly, Shawnene Price, Shannon (Mike) Dye, Veronica (Tommy) Spidell and Jonathan (Colleen) Septer and their families.

Denny loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and he was an avid golfer as well. He retired in 2008 from the city of Akron, where he worked as a dog warden. Denny was a 1971 graduate of Ellet High School, and had lifelong friendships with some of his classmates, along with some of his childhood baseball teammates. Denny was a huge Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan. He also had quite the green thumb.
