Dempsey E. Taylor

Dempsey E. Taylor, 78, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at his home with his family. He was born July 28, 1935 in Cadiz (Trigg County), KY to the late James and Velma Taylor. Dempsey proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and belonged to the VFW post 4738 in Stow, Ohio. On November 16, 1957, he married Ruth M. Green in Akron, Ohio.

Dempsey enjoyed being with family, friends, fishing and outdoor activities. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Ruth Taylor, son Dempsey Wayne (Charise) Taylor, daughter Cindy Ann (Lundy) Riley, son James B. Taylor and daughter Patty (Jeff) Beaver, daughter-in-law Kimberly Finncannon, grandchildren; Tabitha (Travis) Bennett, Cory (Grace) Beaver, C.J. Taylor, Kyle Beaver, Stephen Taylor, Sara Beaver, George Taylor and Alexandria Taylor, 4 great grandsons; Nathan, Logan, Levi and Hawk, brothers; Danny (Margie) Taylor, Lexie Dale (Sue) Taylor and Freddie Taylor, sisters; Fay (Jerry) Edwards and Peggie (Rodney) Tooke, many nieces and nephews and very special friends; Betty Cameron, George and Judy Ross.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Maranatha Bible Church, 1424 Killian Rd, Akron, OH 44312 with Pastor Don Rohrbacher officiating. Final resting place will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park during a private service for the family.
