On August 16, 2012, Delores M. Goodridge, 83 years old, resident of Akron, lost her third and final battle with cancer. Delores was a kind and gentle homemaker, devoted to her family. She was known for her beautiful hand crocheted baby blankets.
Delores lost her husband, Lester, in 1989 and remained a widow until her death.
Delores will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her grieving family, Donna Hall, Patricia (Bill) Williams, Paula (Mark) Landrum, Jacqueline (Darrell) Parsons, Shirley (Jim) Fox, Deborah (Chuck) Widmer, Terry (Roger) Booth, Lester (Tina) Goodridge, Lynn Goodridge, 22 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, a nephew, 2 nieces and their families.
Family and friends may call on Monday, August 20, 11-1 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Aaron Furman officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
