Debra Sue Eplin, 69, was welcomed into the arms of her savior, Jesus, on Monday, September 14, 2026 after a brief illness. She was born on February 13, 1957 in East Liverpool, Ohio. She grew up in East Liverpool, Pittsburgh, and Akron and graduated from Garfield High School in 1975. She held an Associate’s degree from the University of Akron and began working at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company upon graduation from high school, first in data processing and then in various other departments before ending her career as an IT project manager. She retired from Goodyear after 46 years.

Debbie married Mike Eplin in 1981 and together they had two daughters, Sara and Lauren. Hard-working, intelligent, and kind, Debbie left an impression on everyone she met, both in the workplace and in her personal life. She was a long-time member of Maranatha Bible Church where she enjoyed serving in children’s ministry, working as a wedding coordinator, and studying the Bible with other women. She was known for her creativity and ability to beautifully decorate any space, especially her home. She took great joy in her family, especially her 7 grandchildren. More than anything, Debbie loved Jesus. She gave her life to him when she was 20 years old and served him faithfully for 49 years.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Lambrose Louis Fellouzis and Dorothy JoAnn Burns; sister, Sophia Fellouzis; half-brother, John Rayl; mother-in-law, Angie Eplin; father-in-law, Robert Eplin; and 5 unborn grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Mike; daughters Sara (Aaron) Mast and Lauren (Jordan) Rees; grandchildren Carson, Henry, Nora, Oliver, TJ, Jane, and Benjamin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jason and Janene Eplin; nephews Brad (Ashley) Eplin and James (Wendie) Tienhaara; nieces Brooke (Brian) Caskey and Faith (Jay) Griggs; aunt Nickie Fellouzis; many cousins and great nieces and nephews; and many friends and neighbors.
