Deborah L. Pappano

Deborah L. Pappano, 72, of Akron, passed away at her home on April 4, 2026.

She was born on February 12, 1954 to Rita Bornstine in Akron, OH.

Deborah worked as a Environmental Services for Firestone Country Club retiring after 25+ years.

On December 9, 1988 , she married William F. Pappano. Deborah and William lived in Akron, Ohio.

Deborah was a loving care taker, and a generous soul to everyone she met. She dedicated her life to her family. Deborah loved her grandchildren and spending many great moments with them. She loved hosting every Christmas get together with her family, as well as throwing numerous birthday parties and summer barbecue's.

Deborah is survived by her loving children, Richard Latchaw and Susan Latchaw; grandchildren; Michael Gumm, Lindsay Gumm, and Baleigh Latchaw; great-grandchildren, Bradley Gumm, Lily Wilson, J.J. Wilson; siblings, Adriane, Michael, Nan, Pat, and Joe; and numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pappano; mother, Rita Bornstine; and 10 aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, 11:30 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Akron, Ohio with a funeral service at 12:30 pm. Pastor Josh McConnell will be officiating.

A special thank you to her grandson, Michael, and brother, Joe, for taking good care of her during her time of need.
