Deborah Nelson

Deborah L. Nelson, "Debbie", age 60 of Akron, Ohio, died on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 5:00 AM at Akron City Hospital.
She was born on May 26, 1955, the daughter of the late Carl Edwin and Nina Genevieve Townsend Salisbury.
Debbie was a retired deli clerk with Acme after eight years of service, retiring in 2004. She was an avid reader and loved to watch TV.
Survivors include her husband, Carl D. Nelson, whom she married on July 22, 1989; her children, Jennifer (Greg) Stroka, Phillip Hunt, Christopher Nelson I, and Cody Nelson; six grandchildren, Zechariah, Kayla, Christopher II, Makenzie, Carter, and Jordan; sisters-in-law, Lavena Longfellow and Dawneva Nelson; and her best friend, Phyllis Upchurch and many nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Salisbury II, her sister, Barb Shamblin, sister-in-law, Laura Vinson, brother-in-law, Warren Nelson, Jr., and Carl's parents, Warren and Shirley Neidhart Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM, where family and friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service.
