Listen to Obituary

Deanna Rae Clark, born on December 16, 1936, went home to be with Jesus on January 28, 2026, at the age of 89. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to Jesus Christ, for her kindness and generosity, and for being a devout prayer warrior.

Born and raised in Kenmore, Ohio, Deanna lived a life full of love, service, and creativity. She dedicated her time to her family, career, sewing, and oil painting. Deanna loved spending time with her children and grandchildren especially at Port Clinton, Ohio, vacationing and boating on Lake Erie. Deanna was dedicated to her career and retired from Summit County Juvenile Court after 30 years of service. Later in life, Deanna found her love for oil painting. She was very talented and painted several pictures for family and friends. Deanna was a member of Akron First Assembly of God for over 60 years. Deanna felt her purpose in life was to “Rock the babies” in the nursery at church which she did for over 30 years. The past few years Deanna attended Bethel Church of Tallmadge.

She is survived by her children, John Clark Jr., Sharon (Tom) Wertz, Rebecca (Bruce) Foldi; grandchildren, Mitchell (Amanda) Foldi, Alyson (Lee) Emery, Jenna (Austin) Winfield; great-grandchildren, Revenna, Aurelia, and Talon Emery, and Baby Winfield; sisters, Karen Sue (Rich) Kolarik, and Shelley Bittner; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Lynette Hilliard, Marilyn and Gene Jones.

Deanna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Clark, parents Dorothy Graham and Bill Dowling, grandparents Valerie and Nelson Bittner, and Sophie and Don Dowling.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Danbury Assisted Living of Tallmadge and the compassionate staff of CorsoCare Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Church of Tallmadge, 231 South Ave., Tallmadge, OH, on February 2, 2026, at 10:30 am. Visitation will be at the church between 9:00 am-10:30 am.
