Dean L. (Pinky ) Eggert, born April 19, 1929, joined his heavenly Father on February 9th, 2013 after a long illness. He loved sports, especially the game of golf, and loved playing poker with his Masonic friends.
Dean and Martha were members of High Street Christian Church for over 50 years; recently attending Firestone Park Christian Church. Dean was a Scoutmaster providing countless boys the leadership skills in General Tire Boy Scout Troup 377. Dean was a member of Adoniram-Joppa Lodge 517, Yusef Khan Grotto, Scottish Rite and the American Legion Post 449.He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US ARMY.
Preceded in death by his parents, Florence & Herbert Eggert; sisters, Barbara Hunter and Norma Lamson; brothers, Larry, Robert and twin, Dennis "Bluey"; beloved granddaughter, Tiffany Dean Watson.
Survived by his loving wife, Martha, of 64 years; son, Terry Lee (Heidi) Eggert; daughter, Janis (Robert) Watson; granddaughter, Taelor Watson; grandsons, Christopher (Allison) Chapman, Mark (Brittany) Chapman of Georgia; sister-in-law, Phyllis (Josephine) Eggert; numerous relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, February 12, from 4-7 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 13 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. Military Honors will take place at Northlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Summa or a charity of your choice.
