Daynor T. James-Harris was born to the late Angie {Johnson} and Earl Hawkins in Cleveland, Ohio on December 30, 1946. She attended Cleveland Public Schools and married after high school. This union resulted in the birth of three children. She married Fred O. Harris on December 23rd, 1993, and gained two more children.
Both Daynor and Fred enjoyed traveling, both near and far, to see loved ones and host family events. However, their priority was enjoying and spending time with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her 30-year career with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District and her role as a mother, grandmother, and wife were very important to her. She learned from her mother to make your home comfortable and a reflection of yourself. She loved to shop for clothes, shoes, home furnishings, appliances, etc. She loved to shop! She was an avid reader of mostly murder mysteries, enjoyed educational, non-fictional programming, and her westerns.
She is survived by her loving husband, Fred O. Harris; sister Ozella (Mac) McTier of Buffalo, NY; children Robert K. (Melissa) James, Daphne R. James, and Raymond C. (Katrina) James, Fred Harris Jr., Markeysha (Joseph) Whitmore; grandchildren, K’vonne, Shantieria (Anthony), Brooke, Jairius, Taj N. (Robert), Taya, Michael, Kayden, Christopher, Christian, Chantelle, Kiara, Jacob, and a host of great-grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
